The consultation is a private session when you’ll meet your skin therapist, who will maintain confidentiality at all times. You will ideally be required to attend the clinic in person, and we often take ‘before’ photos as part of the treatment process as well as use our Observ 520x skin scanner to visualise the deeper layers of your skin.
The results of the consultation will be valid for the proposed treatment plan, and if your response to treatment means the plan will need to be tweaked, a further consultation / review will be arranged.
During your consultation, we work with you to devise a tailored treatment plan. Our skin treatments include HydraFacial, medical microneedling using our Skin pen device, Morpheus 8, Obagi Blue Radiance Peel, Lumecca IPL, Forma radiofrequency skin tightening which can be used to improve the elasticity, tone and texture of the skin. These treatments can also be used on the neck and decolletage to create a smoother, brighter, firmer complexion. We also make a recommendation of medical grade products such as Obagi and ZO skin health products to transform your skin and prevent future damage.
As well as discussing your concerns and exploring treatment options, your practitioner will also use the consultation to outline the importance of aftercare. This will depend on the procedures that have been suggested for you, and aims to promote optimal healing, minimise potential side effects, and ensure lasting results. We will also arrange review appointments with our skin therapists to monitor your progress and response to products and treatments.
Takroni Clinic are proud educators and take the time to ensure you fully understand your recommended procedures and the results they can produce. Having realistic expectations is important. We work with you during the consultation to carefully explain how each treatment works, as well as demonstrating the outcome that you are likely to achieve. Results will be bespoke, with skin treatments aiming to optimise skin health, and improve its overall quality and condition.
Faq
Where possible, consultations will need to be carried out in person. In some cases, we may be able to do a virtual consultation, but this means we may not be able to do a full examination of your concerns and skin condition.
Each patient is unique, and Takroni Clinic tailors every treatment plan to the individual. Our consultations will be valid throughout your entire treatment journey, unless your response is unexpected and changes to your plan are required. This will be discussed when you come to the clinic, and as your developing results are reviewed. For on-going / repeated treatments, consultations may need to be carried out annually, or as advised by your practitioner.
In most cases you will see the same practitioner for continuity of care, however, they may be situations where your practitioner is unavailable. The team at Takroni Clinic work closely together and we ensure that your patient journey is comprehensive and seamless if there is a need to see an alternative skin therapist.
There are some treatments that can be performed on the same day as the consultation. If your recommended treatment requires some pre-treatment care or a patch test, you may need to make an appointment for treatment on another day. Our friendly team can help to arrange this for you at the safest and soonest possibly opportunity.
