Our clinicians provide excellent aftercare advice which plays an important part in the success of the treatment. You will need to avoid touching or rubbing the area for up to 6 hours after the procedure and not applying make-up for the first 24 hours will reduce the risk of infection. Drinking alcohol for 48 hours before and after the procedure is prohibited, and saunas, steam rooms and facials should be avoided for one week. Often the chin area may feel a little tight post treatment for up to 1 week before it starts to feel completely normal again.

This treatment is suitable for those who are over the age of 18 looking to contour their jawline, improve the appearance of marionette lines and jowls or for profile balancing. This treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding or those who have taken Roaccutane in the last 3-6 months.

This treatment generally leads to minimal discomfort as there is local anaesthetic within the dermal filler used for treatment and treatment is relatively fast. Your clinician will work with you during your appointment to ensure your treatment is carried out as comfortably as possible.
We discuss all side effects and potential complications during the consultation. You can expect to experience some swelling and tightness, redness and mild bruising immediately after the treatment. These effects will generally take around 5 – 7 days to settle, however, as you are able to wear makeup from the next day this treatment generally causes minimal downtime.
